THE CLUB
..began life in September 1992 to meet the needs of a growing number of modellers building and painting figure kits, both mainstream and those being produced by the fledgling garage kit industry.
From very humble beginnings the club has expanded to embrace all aspects of Sci-Fi, Horror and Fantasy based model building, and now boasts an international membership.
The goal of the club is to support kit builders by offering advice and guidence through its bi-monthly magazine - see below, and regular informal gatherings. In addition the clubs 'Lab' - see below, produces a range of economically priced kits.
Every two years the club holds a convention - Dron-a-rama, which offers members a chance to spend time getting to know each other in a typically relaxed atmosphere.
Membership fees have been held constant for the past few years, and cover the cost of producing the bi-monthly magazine, membership cards and postage.
United Kingdom = £21
Europe = £27
Rest of the World = £34
Fees are payable in January, with membership being maintained over a 12 month period. However, anyone applying after March still receives all 6 magazines for the membership period.

DRONE ON-LINE
Drone on-line acts as a complementary colour gallery to DRONE our bi-montly magazine, while at the same time promoting the club, and its activities and also its production arm Dr One's Lab, or The Lab as it is more commonly known, to a wider audience.
THE GENRE
..in general, while primarily concentrating on figure model kits, the Club has grown to encompasses monsters, ships and hardware from film, television, comic and book based mediums. This simple proviso is only for the purpose of publication both here, and in our Bi-monthly magazine, with many of the members turning their hands to whatever modelling subject takes their fancy.
Dr ONE'S LAB
The Lab opened in 1999 when the FTvMC unveiled a line of reasonably priced but high quality kits under the Dr One's Lab banner. Available exclusively from The Lab, these kits have proved universally popular and the intervening years has seen the range grow to include many original pieces.
The current range can be seen here
